The Hurricane was famous for its “bottomless” hash browns, large omelets, and being a late-night sanctuary for musicians, artists, and neighborhood regulars. While it has been closed for over a decade, it remains a “touchstone” of “Old Seattle” history.
The location had nearly 100 years of 24-hour service. Before becoming the Hurricane in April 1994, it was the legendary Dog House (1930s-1994) and previously the Bohemian Continental.
