Seattle’s Home of the Blues!
Opened in 2004 by Steve Sarkowsky, the Highway 99 Blues Club was a cornerstone of the Seattle music scene for 14 years, operating from 2004 until its closure at the end of 2018. Inspired by Southern juke joints and Chicago blues dens, it was located in a subterranean space under the Alaskan Way Viaduct, directly across from the Seattle Great Wheel.
Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened!
