Long Live the Comet!

Venerable Seattle dive bar/punk rock venue the Comet Tavern shuttered in October 2013 after more than 80 continuous years in business, to be gloriously reborn under the cultural prowess of Seattle nightlife guru Jason Lajeunesse.

Both beloved and hated (often by the same person at the same time), the Comet (not Jason) has played host to thousands of musical royalty, local kooks and transient visitors looking for a true slice of Pacific Northwest. This strong tradition continues with regular live music and DJ sets, nightly happy hours and the presence of original owner, George Commet, seeping from every pore. And best of all? Newly remodeled bathrooms, the Hangover Flea Market, open from noon until 2 am every day and NEVER a cover charge.
