In April of 1892 Mr. Thomas Watson opened The Central, then known as Watson Bros. Famous Restaurant. From local post office, general store and full-fledged brothel, fast-forward a century to the Central Saloon of Seattle’s Pioneer Square. This local music venue serves as a historic monument to pioneer Seattle, a great place to get a drink and a bite and a rockin’ joint to hear live music seven nights a week. Primarily featuring rock bands, this legendary spot was a starting stage for some of Seattle’s most famous grunge bands.
